~Mandy Powrie on What Child is This? Emmanuel!
Welcome! On this site you’ll find Choral music that I have arranged or composed. Editions from this site have been performed in many states and countries. You can read some user comments below this introduction.
“This song was gorgeous, especially with the cello!”
~Jessica Taylor on How Firm a Foundation
Free and nearly-free. Arrangements on this site are offered at the nearly-free price of $7.77, while all the original compositions are offered completely free, provided you report performances of these works to me at mryan@choirworks.com (performer, venue, date).
Why do I offer my original music for free? Performances of original compositions can be reported on my yearly ASCAP Plus grant application, offering me a chance to get paid for those performances without costing you anything. So please, be sure to let me know when you perform these works and I’ll be able to continue to offer the music for free.
“Very useful for the Christians around the world.”
~Dr. S. M. Moses Kennedy
A list of all the works, grouped alphabetically under each choir type, can be found in the right hand column of this site. If you’d like to sort by level or subject (i.e. Christmas, Halloween, LDS, Sacred, Thanksgiving, etc.) please visit the RSS Feed and use the links under "Filter by Category.”
I hope you enjoy my work and wish you the best in your choral endeavors.

M Ryan Taylor

You arranged a fabulous piano accompaniment and our choir just loved this arrangement.
Bountiful, UT
I just stumbled on your website and am THRILLED! I have a choir that includes everyone from beginners to pros…and this song adds just enough difficulty and variation to a song they already know that we’re elated to have found it.
Saratoga Springs, UT
I want to thank you for your efforts in arranging this beautiful Christmas carol.
Livonia, MI
My choir is singing one of your pieces today in church, “Away in a Manger". It is a lovely piece with lots of gentle sounds with a fabulous flute accompaniment. Thanks for allowing us to sing such a wonderful piece of music. We will be back for more!
Copper Hills
It was well received, and the choir enjoyed working on it. It is wonderful that you are willing to make your music available to others free of charge.
Akron, OH
I wanted to thank you personally for allowing our choir to perform your pieces in our concert. To me, each one of the quodlibets had a distinct sound and wonderful rhythm that made each of them incredibly unique. I sang the part of the first mate in the ghost ship and hope we can continue to perform more of your music.
Austin, TX
Thank you for your generous contribution of your talents!!
St. Louis, MI
Thank you so much for this music . . .
Dublin, Ireland
I had been searching for something “special” for the Choir to sing and was so delighted to come across “All Good Gifts” on the Internet: it was so appropriate and easy for the choir of 15 persons (most of us well over 50 years of age and only two of us able to “read” music!) to learn . . . Thank you and may God continue to bless you and your music ministry.
La Romain, Trinidad
I found your website by chance when I decided I wanted our ward choir to do an arrangement of “Lead Kindly Light” and just searched from yahoo for it. I love the arrangement you have made here! It is beautiful, different from other versions I have heard and most of all you allow people to print it off free!
We enjoyed practicing and performing your work, Ryan. It is easy enough to be approachable, yet complex enough to be interesting. The cello part adds richness and depth to the piece.
River Heights, ID
At first the choir thought I was nuts wanting to do this piece but they have all grown to love it.
Bay Village, OH
It turned out really beautifully. Thank you for an inspiring arrangement.
Salt Lake City, UT
This is a fantastic arrangement of All Glory, Laud and Honor!
Cresson, PA
Thank you for this wonderful arrangement.
South Africa
. . . performed All Glory, Laud, and Honor . . . It was met with excellent response! Beautiful piece - we used three soloists, plus the organ and piano exactly as arranged. It was easier to put together than expected and was very exciting to perform. Many choir members and those in the congregation said they had “chills!” Thank you.
Springville, UT
We will be performing “As with Gladness Men of Old’ abridged by M. Ryan Taylor. I thought it was a great way to sing an “old staple” but with a great new counterpoint and accompaniment! Thank you for sharing your music with the community of believers!
Sioux Falls, SD
I Love this arrangement!
Puyallup, WA
I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed performing “Rise Up Saints in Joy and Gladness” on Sunday evening . . . We feel blessed to have found this beautiful music.
